WHAT IS THE SCITON LASER?
The Sciton Laser skin resurfacing treatment uses customizable laser settings tailored to individual skin concerns, incorporated into personalized resurfacing treatments based on your provider evaluation. Treatment is designed to target specific areas while limiting impact on surrounding tissue.
At CARE Esthetics we also offer Sciton HALO, a hybrid fractional laser that delivers both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths in a single session; BBL HERO, which uses broad-spectrum light with adjustable energy settings and cooling technology for comfort; and Sciton BBL, which uses intense pulsed light (IPL) technology to support the appearance of common esthetic concerns on the face and body. Individual results vary.

AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR SCITON LASER?
Individuals concerned about fine lines, uneven tone, or sun-related skin changes may be candidates following a consultation.
This treatment cannot be used on all skin tones, so a consultation with a CARE Esthetics provider is required to determine whether it aligns with your esthetic goals.
COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Talk with your provider about your laser treatment choices, since certain treatments may cause pigmentation changes. It is also important to share your medical history, particularly if you are prone to cold sores or herpes outbreaks. Antiviral medication may be recommended prior to treatment to help prevent flare-ups.
Because smaller regions are treated, you may require more than one session. Your esthetic goals and the depth of treatment will determine the number of sessions needed, and your provider will recommend what suits your skincare needs.
In traditional laser resurfacing, a broader area is treated, which may mean longer recovery. The Sciton Laser uses focused lasers to treat specific areas at varying depths, an approach designed to limit impact on surrounding tissue. Recovery varies by individual.
During your consultation we will discuss your skin concerns and create a treatment plan, including the cost of treatment. We also offer CareCredit as an option.
