Platelet-Rich Fibrin - PRF Treatment

Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) is prepared from a small sample of your own blood and used during facial esthetic treatments at CARE Esthetics. Ask your provider whether PRF is appropriate for your goals.

What is Platelet-Rich Fibrin?

Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) is prepared from a small sample of your own blood and used during facial esthetic treatments. With a simple blood draw, PRF is collected and used to support natural-looking facial esthetic results.

The protocols for preparing PRF in its most concentrated format (C-PRF) were developed with contributions from CARE Esthetics clinicians.

PRF Treatment

PRF is used during minimally invasive facial esthetic treatments that may help address the appearance of concerns such as those listed below. Individual results vary.

What Is the Difference between PRF and PRP Treatment?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is the first-generation platelet concentrate, sometimes called the “vampire facial.” It is prepared by processing a blood sample in a centrifuge and typically uses anti-clotting additives. Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) is a more concentrated successor to PRP, prepared without chemical additives; because no additives are used, it forms a firmer clot. Ask your provider to explain the differences during your consultation.

What Are the Benefits
of PRF Treatment?

PRF is used during minimally invasive facial esthetic treatments and may support the appearance of the skin in several ways. Individual results vary.

What to Expect from
a PRF Treatment

Here’s what to expect when you visit a CARE Esthetics clinic for PRF Treatment:

  1. Blood Extraction
First, we will draw a small amount of your blood through a simple, generally well-tolerated procedure.
  2. Blood Centrifugation
Your blood will be processed in a centrifuge and spun slowly to produce PRF, ensuring that the blood will not separate as much as PRP.
  3. PRF Collection & Injection
The PRF will be collected from the vial through a syringe and injected into the treatment areas.
