Dr. Sirish Makan
Dr. Makan is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He completed his dental training in San Francisco and had the benefit of training in Washington DC to complete his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery. While in residency, Dr. Makan was able to refine his skills to be able to offer the full scope of services provided by an OMS, even working under the mentorship of Dr. Jeffrey Posnick at the Posnick Center for Facial Plastic Surgery. Following residency, he was fortunate to be able to move back home in Southern California, where he joined Harbor UCLA as faculty. While involved with the residency program, Dr. Makan is able to stay involved with innovative and cutting edge procedures, teaching residents how to be skilled surgeons themselves. Dr. Makan continues to seek out ways to utilize the most advanced, cutting edge treatments, while making sure to combine their usage with proven, effective treatments that deliver optimal results for his patients.
Dr. Samuel Liu
Dr. Samuel Liu is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He is one of the few surgeons who has completed a fellowship in pediatric craniofacial surgery. Dr. Liu completed his dental training at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco and his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery in Washington DC. He was also able to work under the mentorship of Dr. Jeffrey Posnick at the Posnick Center for Facial Plastic Surgery. Dr. Liu is also faculty at Harbor UCLA, training residents and also working with other specialties in the cleft clinic. He goes on a yearly mission trip to Eritrea, delivering care to an underserved population. Dr. Liu not only focuses on complex facial surgeries, he focuses on utilizing Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) therapies to assist in regenerative treatments that can aid in delivering ideal results.
