Katharine Christian, DMD, is an Orofacial Pain dentist with a focus on dental sleep medicine and facial esthetics practicing at The Sleep & TMJ Group located in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Christian is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and a fellow of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain. She has trained extensively with renowned experts in the field of Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) and laser treatments for facial aesthetics. Her enthusiasm and expertise are dedicated to providing you with exceptional care. Dr. Christian’s goal is to ensure her patients look as good as they feel.

Dr. Christian practiced general dentistry for 10 years before taking over the Snoring & Sleep Apnea Center, the premier dental sleep medicine practice in the Washington state. In addition to the mentorship of the founding dentist, Dr. Christian has over 400 hours of continuing education in orofacial pain and dental sleep medicine. Over her last 10 years as the dental director of the now Sleep & TMJ Group, she has continuously trained and added services to help more people. After several years of using the Fotona laser to treat snoring and platelet rich fibrin (PRF) to treat TMJ disorders, the decision was made to expand the esthetic aspects of each beyond just friends and family.

Named one of the area’s Top Dentists by the Seattle Metropolitan Magazine, Dr. Christian has been active in the Seattle King County Dental society, serving on its board and as the 2024/2025 Society President. She is active in the American Academy of Orofacial Pain and has served as Chair for the Ethics and Grievances Committee. In addition, she enjoys mentoring dentists and lecturing on Sleep Apnea and TMJ treatments.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Christian and her husband enjoy a relaxed lifestyle in West Seattle. When she’s not making her patients feel better, she can be found gardening, reading science fiction, or ferrying teens between robotics and water polo competitions.
