Dr. Thomas M. Mattern, DDS
Since 1991, Dr. Mattern has been practicing dentistry in Phoenix. He earned his dental degree from Creighton University in 1988 and has been improving his professional expertise as a general dentist ever since!
Dr. Mattern has always prioritized giving back to the community. On Veteran’s Day, he closes all of his offices to provide free dental care to our veterans. Since 2003, Dr. Mattern has supported the ADA Foundation’s Give Kids A Smile campaign, providing dental treatment to hundreds of needy children. He has also actively participated at St. Vincent de Paul Dental Clinic in Phoenix. Moreover, he continues to travel to Atoyac, Mexico, to help individuals in need. Dr. Mattern is a big believer in fostering an environment beneficial to healthy, bright smiles for everybody!
For over 30 years, Dr. Mattern has been a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and The Academy of General Dentists (AGD). He is determined to continue his education and has attended countless courses at prestigious educational institutions, such as the Las Vegas Institute of Cosmetic Dentistry, Dental Implant Seminars, Oral Sedation Seminars, and Dental Sleep Medicine. He has also acquired his fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and is a Diplomat of the International Dental Implant Association. Dr. Mattern has placed thousands of dental implants and currently specializes in same-day full arch dental implants and non-invasive gum recession treatment.
Dr. Mattern enjoys golf, travel, and spending time with his wife, Sharon, and four children when he is not working hard, perfecting smiles in the Phoenix region.
Dr. Jessica Villalobos, DDS
Dr. Villalobos is a native of Arizona. She acquired her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Arizona State University as a Magna Cum Laude. She graduated from the University of Colorado with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She was chosen into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a National Dental Honor Society that recognizes excellent students in the top ten of their class.
Dr. Villalobos continued her education in advanced general dentistry at the Lutheran Medical Center upon graduation. She was able to work alongside specialists throughout her residency to enhance further her education in various aspects of dentistry, including cosmetic dentistry, periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and removable prosthodontics.
Dr. Villalobos is committed to strengthening her dental abilities and providing the best treatment possible for her patients. She is an advocate for thorough patient care and works diligently to make your visit as painless and anxiety-free as possible. She never takes the opportunity to enhance and restore a patient’s dental health and give them a beautiful smile for granted!
Dr. Villalobos and her husband, Sam, love spending time with family and friends, traveling, and hiking. They have two lovely daughters, Addison and Chloe, and an adorable Pomeranian, Scout.
Dr. Kristen Mayorga, DDS
Dr. Mayorga was born in Wyoming but raised in Ahwatukee. And ever since, she has been an Arizonian! Dr. Mayorga studied at the University of Arizona in Tucson for four years. While pursuing a degree in physiology, she was also a cheer team member that accompanied football and basketball teams on their travels. She even cheered on the Wildcats during their two NCAA tournament appearances!
Dr. Mayorga acquired her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. She continues to pursue her education as she believes that providing exceptional patient care requires continuous learning!
Dr. Mayorga prefers spending time with her husband and their little Shih Tzu, Oso, outside of work. She and her husband are avid sports lovers, attending most Cardinal home games and cheering for the Arizona Wildcats!
