Dr. Melody Stampe, DDS
A Texas native, Dr. Stampe is passionate about helping her friends and neighbors achieve their healthiest, happiest smiles. Over the last 30+ years, the most rewarding part of dentistry has been improving and changing the lives of the patients she has the privilege of meeting – she’d love to do the same for you too! WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO BECOME A DENTIST?
Dr. Stampe’s interest in the field of dentistry was piqued in high school! When she was a senior, she participated in the health professions work program. Around the same time, she worked in a dental office. She helped with administrative duties, became a trained dental assistant, and truly fell in love with dentistry.
WHERE DID YOU STUDY DENTISTRY?
Before dental school, Dr. Stampe attended the University of North Texas, which is where she earned her BS in biology. Next, she attended the Baylor College of Dentistry (graduating as the valedictorian!). If that wasn’t impressive enough, she was one of only five dentists chosen for the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program.
In the years following, she became one of the youngest recipients of the Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry. Plus, she chose to further serve her patients by undergoing additional training in craniofacial pain, earning her board certification with the American Board of Craniofacial Dental Sleep Medicine shortly after. To this day, she maintains active memberships with notable organizations, including:

OUTSIDE OF THE DENTAL OFFICE, WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO?
Dr. Stampe is happily married to her husband, John. She has one son, who is currently serving in the Navy, and a daughter who is a senior at Richardson High School. Plus, she has two “bonus” daughters and two fur babies, Opie and Jaxson. Some of her favorite things to do in her free time are spending time with loved ones, traveling, and cheering at her daughter’s soccer games.
Dr. Tamara Gater, DDS
Dr. Gater is originally from Iraq! After practicing general and family dentistry there for well over a decade, she and her family moved to the United States. Now, she is proud to be helping patients in the Dallas area achieve pristine oral health and beautiful smiles! In her 15+ years of experience as a dentist, her favorite part of her job has continued to be seeing immediate results in a single visit – the satisfaction, privilege, and joy it brings her is very rewarding! She’s thrilled to work alongside the CityLine Dental Center team because of the shared belief in providing state-of-the-art, relationship-based, comprehensive care that is tailored to fit the lives of our patients. WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO BECOME A DENTIST?
Dr. Gater’s interest in healthcare was piqued when she was just a child. As a single mother and pharmacist, her mom was her idol, and she knew she wanted to follow in her footsteps in some capacity. She knew she loved working with her hands and adding tiny details to everything; it turned out dentistry was her calling!
WHERE DID YOU STUDY DENTISTRY?
Dr. Gater actually graduated from dental school twice in her life! The first time was in Iraq at Baghdad University. After completing a one-year General Practice Residency (GPR), she practiced dentistry for 12 years. She then decided to move to the U.S., where she completed dental school again at the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, International Dental Program. Today, she is Invisalign certified and a member of several professional organizations, including:

- California Dental Association
OUTSIDE OF THE DENTAL OFFICE, WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO?
Dr. Gater loves spending time with her loved ones, including her two wonderful kids, Adam and Jade. As a family, they enjoy going to church, traveling, and cooking together.
