SKIN CONDITIONS
What's your concern?
Fine Lines and Wrinkles
Wrinkles associated with aging are the most common issue our patients want to address. Several factors affect wrinkles, including sun exposure, smoking, sleep patterns, nutrition, and hydration, among others.
Wrinkles typically begin around the eyes and forehead, and then extend to areas around the lips and nasolabial folds. Over time, they can give the general appearance of sagging skin, reversing the often-desired pyramid facial shape towards a bottom-heavy triangular face shape caused by loss of firmness and texture as well as a reduction in collagen synthesis.
Therefore, it is important to treat fine lines and wrinkles as early as possible with natural skin care products and facial treatments to avoid more complex treatment requirements in the long run.
Depending on the cause of the wrinkle (hyperactive muscle, sun damage, smoke damage, dehydration, etc.) and its severity, several facial aesthetic strategies can be implemented, from advanced procedures such as regenerating tissues and using anti-aging agents, to more conventional concepts like muscle paralysis or use of bioactive materials.
Treatments for fine lines and wrinkles:
- Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) therapy, either by injection
or microneedling - Laser therapy
- Botox
- Bio-fillers and synthetic fillers
Treatments for acne and acne scars:
- The number 1 choice of therapy: PRF (using leukocytes or white blood cells to help fight active infections)
- Laser therapy
- Bio-fillers and synthetic fillers (for deeper acne scars)
Acne and Acne Scars
Acne removal and acne scar removal are the second most commonly performed procedures within our clinics. Studies have shown that approximately 80% of the population suffers from acne at some point during their lives.
Acne may come in different forms and and severity levels, in skin types of different ages and ethnicities. Oftentimes, it results in scar formation, pits, or changes in skin texture.
Fortunately, several options exist at CARE Esthetics to help eliminate acne and acne scars. Utilizing entirely natural approaches, we help patients have clearer, smoother, beautiful skin.
Rosacea and Visible Facial Veins
Most commonly observed around the cheeks, nose, and forehead, rosacea is a chronic condition characterized by redness of the face. Patients also develop telangiectasia, a condition wherein dilated blood vessels cause unattractive red, blue, or purple veins on the face (especially the lower face).
Laser therapy is the go-to method for removing small blood vessels without discomfort. Conditions such as rosacea can be treated using a combination approach of laser therapy and micro-needling with PRF.
Sun Damage and Melasma Formation
Following excessive sun exposure, the skin on the face can suffer from melasma due to too much melanin production. Melasma is typically characterized by brown patches, which result in unnatural facial discoloration.
In addition, exposure to harsh ultraviolet (UV) light can cause facial skin to experience a rapid loss of elasticity and a decreased ability to produce collagen.
Treatment with PRF and microneedling can bring substantial improvements to sun-damaged skin. Melasma formation is best treated with lasers and/or certain pigment correction serums used at CARE Esthetics. In such cases, a consultation is required to determine which facial treatment will be best for you depending on your skin type and the severity of your condition.
Moles
Moles are skin growths that often occur while aging. These dark spots can be easily removed via laser therapy, a virtually painless treatment that can greatly improve patient satisfaction and facial aesthetics.
In this procedure, your doctor will remove cell tissues in a layer-by-layer fashion until the moles are entirely removed.
